Lets do something different from last week, let me answer the question one by one..hehe

Tutorial Questions
1.explain the motivations that drive contributions and collaborations.
a. anticipated reciprocity
-expectation that 1 will receive useful help and information in return.
-something like karma, you help me now,i may not help you back when you need my help but others people may help you when you need help.

b. effect of contributions on one's reputation
-you help others people, you will get good reputation
-eg. you answer the tutorial question online, people will say you are a good person

c. individual contribute valuable information because the act result in a sense of efficacy
-it change how a people look his own self, such as make people feel like they are useful actually since they able to help people to solve their problem through online

d. a person or the group as a whole has a need for it
-every people need the information

2. What are the changes in costs and benefits of online cooperation?
a. changes in cost
-cost of contribution
-eg. do not need to print it out, can just share online

b. changes in the production function
-reduce the number of person require 2 produce the production
-eg. if want to do survey in US,previously need to send someone to US to complete the survey, but now can just put the survey question online, and ask US people to fill it up,then the survey is done.

c. changes in benefits
-benefit on unlimited number of people( everyone can get the benefit)
-eg. previously, people want to get the information, must buy a book, but now all the information is online, all people can get it

3. State the difference between Gift exchanges and commodity transaction.
Gift transaction
-human to human being which is interdependence relationship
-cannot say no or don't like to someone when the people give you gift
-have the obligation to pay back to the person
-is unique and having some special value

commodity transaction
-no obligation to pay back after the exchange is consummated (eg. you go somewhere buy something, they don't have the obligation to serve you or exchange with you)
-not unique and don't have special value
-individual are self interested on the thing (eg. you buy something is because you need the thing or u like it,not to make others happy)

4 Economies of cooperation changes as one moves to the Internet..Do you agree with the statement? Yes/No? Provide evidence n examples.
-yes. because people is more willing to share information online now, it make people would like to seek for information online.
-eg. previously, people need some professional advices such as doctor and lawyer, they must meet them face to face and it is charge, but now people can just post on their own forum to seek for the answer or even search online then can get the information already.

OK..done~hehe=)

And below is our group assignment question...
